AN IFM STUDENT WINS THE ONWARD GRAND PRIX
«Pop», an IFM student, is the winner of the prestigious Onward Grand Prix 2007.
Over 13 000 young student designers took part in this year’s competition.
« Pop » ( aka. Chalermkiat Khatikasemlert), a student on the IFM’s Postgraduate fashion design program (2007-2008) won the Grand Prix at the Onward fashion awards in Tokyo on Wednesday. He was awarded his prize on Wednesday September 5th at the Tokyo Fashion Town Building, in the Japanese capital. This prize is a serious boost to the career of the young designer from Thailand. Each year since 1984, over 13 000 students from all around the world enter their work for this prestigious prize. There were 35 young designers in this year’s final. Seven other prizes were awarded, for the most part to young Japanese designers.
